This story was inspired by my own children. We live together in an apartment with a large terrace, where we really have seven bunnies. Every morning, my kids are the first to wake up to bring them fresh water, feed them, and make sure they’re okay. It has become our daily routine, and I love watching how they learn about responsibility, care, and love through it. I felt this story needed to be shared – not just as a tale, but as a piece of our hearts.
Once upon a time, in a sunny city, there lived a family in a special apartment. But it wasn’t the apartment itself that was so special — it was the large terrace, which felt more like a little garden.
What made it even more magical?
Seven adorable bunnies.
There were three gray ones, one snow-white, one white and brown, one brown and white, and one black and white. Each had their own personality. The snow-white bunny, lovingly named Snowflake by the children, would hop eagerly around the food bowl. The brown-and-white bunny, named Figgy, loved to hide carrots in the corner.
The terrace wasn’t just a bunny home — it was also the children’s little world.
Every morning, before the sun was fully awake, the siblings opened the terrace door and stepped out into the fresh morning air. The bunnies were already waiting — not just for the food, but for the love and care the children brought them each day.
The kids brought fresh water, cleaned their little nests, and made sure they always had enough to eat. Sometimes, they even made name tags for each bunny with handmade signs.
And what happened in the middle of all this?
The children slowly began to learn responsibility.
They realized that love isn’t just hugs and kisses — love also means showing up, giving, and caring. They learned that taking care of someone — whether it’s a person or an animal — makes the world a bit more beautiful.
At night, when the bunnies had curled up in their cozy corner, the kids would go to them and say:
– Good night, little friends! We’ll be back tomorrow!
And they always came smiling, with fresh water, and full of love.
This story is a tiny slice of our family life. I wrote it because I believe every parent dreams of teaching their children the joy of caring — whether it’s for a bunny, a flower, or a sibling. Being close to nature and learning to love animals helps shape the heart. I hope this story reaches you, too — and that you’ll live your own little fairy tale, whether it’s on a terrace, in a garden, or simply in your imagination.
